Job Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage and review the calculation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision
Manage and review foreign tax packages, work with foreign site controllers to manage tax accounts and tax provision
Determine tax reserves (FIN 48 & FAS 5) and related disclosures, including monitoring the tax environment to ensure that the tax reserves are reasonable
Manage and review U.S. international tax compliance including managing the external service provider
Prepare/review foreign entity tax forms (1118, 5471, 8865, 8858, 5713, 8832, 5452, 1120F, etc.).
Prepare/review E&P, Subpart F, GILTI, BEAT, FDII, §163(j), foreign tax credit calculations
Provide support for tax examinations
Planning and research in connection with the above responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the requirements of Section 404 of Sarbanes Oxley
Support tax transformation initiatives to automate tax processes, enhance data analytics and re-imagine how the tax function operates
Keep up to date with tax legislation, SEC Regulations, and GAAP changes, practice and global developments
Supervises and develops tax department staff
Build and foster strong cross-functional relationships within and outside of the tax department
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting
CPA license required. MST or MBT (Master of Science in Taxation or Master in Business Taxation) degree preferred, but not required
Ideal candidate will have 8+ years of combined tax experience which includes some mix of experience in a major CPA firm and in a corporate tax department
Strong knowledge of U.S. tax laws and regulations and capability of application in new situations
Experience with ASC 740, Accounting for Income Taxes
Experience and proficiency in U.S. GAAP accounting for taxes and internal controls
Strong understanding of core international tax concepts including income sourcing, expense apportionment & allocation, E&P, foreign tax credit, GILTI, FDII, BEAT, §163(j), and Subpart F.
Strong written and verbal communications skills
Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
Independent and self-driven with the ability to adapt and get things done in a complex and fast-paced environment
Critical thinking with the ability to scrutinize, challenge, and propose changes to existing processes and procedures
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with OneSource Tax Provision, OneSource Tax Compliance, and Alteryx is a plus
Facilitate meetings and present to large groups
