Financial Analyst
who has experience providing financial support services to the U.S. Navy in
Washington DC . You will be part of a large team that works closely with NAVSEA / SEA 21 / PMS 451 to deliver quality solutions to the Surface Navy. This position works directly with Senior Leaders as part of the Finance team supporting PMS 451 Guided Missile Destroyer Modernization.
Typical Responsibilities: Process funding documents in Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) (create/track/report) for PMS-451 and SEA21 as required. Utilize Program Budget Information System (PBIS) and Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA) to provide financial analysis and reports as requested. Create and distribute the weekly summary for ERP capturing all active year funding and developing automatic queries / reports. Maintain, update, and distribute PX Tracker. Provide customer interface for data used in the entry of Task Planning Sheets (TPS) and subsequent task modifications into the NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS). Provide task monitoring of fiscal year allocation plans and execution reports. Develop and edit PowerPoint briefings using ERP / NEPS and financial data involving advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Participate in planning meetings with government and business partners. Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Location:
Full time at NAVSEA Headquarters in Washington, D.C. Partial local remote (within commuting distance) may be available.
Secret Security Clearance Required : This position requires an existing DoD Secret security clearance. A qualified candidate will already possess an active Secret clearance.
Typical Pay Range : The anticipated pay range for this position in the identified location(s) is $90,000 – 100,000. Actual compensation offered will be based upon individual factors including education, qualifications, and experience.
Typical Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, additional relevant experience may be considered.
At least five (5) years of recent, relevant experience in financial program planning, administration, budgets, and development. Within this total experience, the candidate should have:
Understanding and knowledge of the Planning, Programming, Budgeting and Execution (PPBE) process. Experience using the following Navy programs (listed in priority order):
Navy Enterprise Resource Planning (N-ERP) Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Computer Optimized Batch Reconciliation Application (COBRA) Program Budget Information System (PBIS) NAVSEA Enterprise Planning System (NEPS)
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including use of VLOOKUP/ Pivot tables and ability to integrate multiple sources of data. Knowledge of DOD and USN Policies and Procedures, specifically including knowledge of the Navy Financial System and understanding of the requirements, planning and budget process. Excellent time management, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
