Description
Diagnose and resolve issues in manufacturing processes to improve quality and efficiency. Address production challenges, including sub-standard or non-compliant products, and high-maintenance processes. Develop and implement effective manufacturing workflows. Optimize manufacturing steps to produce products efficiently and cost-effectively. Create and modify CNC programs using both manual "G code" programming and CAM software. Design and refine inspection processes, including methods and gauges for new and updated components. Drive Continuous Improvement initiatives by investigating issues, identifying root causes, and implementing solutions using LEAN tools. Collaborate effectively with colleagues across all levels to resolve challenges and enhance processes. Engage with team members during process development and problem-solving to ensure new and modified workflows deliver maximum benefit to the organization.
Profile
At least 5 years of experience in a CNC machining environment. Proven "self-starter" with the ability to work independently and proactively. 5+ years of hands-on experience with CNC lathes and milling machines. Strong ability to take ownership of projects and see them through to successful completion. Comprehensive understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Proficiency in editing "G code" CNC programs both manually and through CAM software, on-site and remotely. Proficient in MS Office applications. Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and methodologies. Experience with variable CNC programming is a plus. Knowledge of Okuma and Fanuc CNC controls is preferred.
