Description Prepare detailed cost estimates for dry utility projects (e.g., electrical, telecommunications, gas) by analyzing project documents, drawings, and specifications. Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials, labor, and equipment needed for underground utility installations. Compile and submit bids on time, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project scope. Source quotes from vendors and subcontractors, evaluating options to ensure competitive and reliable pricing. Assess project budgets and identify potential risks or savings, working closely with the project management team to adjust costs as needed. Track actual project costs and compare against estimates to refine future estimations and improve accuracy. Analyze project risks related to site conditions, regulations, and potential schedule impacts to develop risk mitigation strategies. Stay informed on local market conditions, industry trends, and material price fluctuations to ensure accurate and competitive estimates. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and field teams to confirm that estimates reflect actual site conditions and construction methods. Maintain detailed records of estimates, assumptions, and changes for internal reference and project audits. Profile 2-5 years of estimating experience, preferably in dry utility or underground utility projects. Proficiency in
Excel ; experience with Bluebeam is a plus. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to meet deadlines consistently. Job Offer Competitive salary starting at $100K+ based on experience.
