Position Summary:

We seek a dynamic, results-driven High Energy Proposal Director to lead our proposal development team. This role requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The High Energy Proposal Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire proposal lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to submitting winning proposals.

Primary Responsibilities: Proposal Strategy Development :

Analyze government solicitations, RFPs, and market trends to identify business opportunities aligning with company capabilities. Develop strategic approaches for each proposal, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company goals.

Team Leadership

:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of proposal managers, writers, and coordinators. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.

Proposal Management:

Oversee the full proposal development process including planning, scheduling, and compliance checks. Coordinate all aspects of proposal preparation, from kickoff meetings to final production and submission.

Client Interaction:

Engage with potential and existing government clients to understand their needs and tailor proposals accordingly. Participate in pre-proposal meetings, site visits, and industry days. Business Development Support: Work closely with the business development team to capture new opportunities and enhance win rates. Provide insights and feedback to senior management on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer priorities.

Quality Assurance:

Ensure all proposals meet high standards of quality, compliance, and competitiveness. Review proposals for strategic alignment, clarity, and persuasive arguments. Handle both task order proposals and large, multi-faceted proposals

that may include oral presentations, client reference checks, and various proposal volumes (technical, past performance, cost, and management). Take end-to-end ownership of the proposal process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and compliance with RFP requirements.

Skills and Qualifications:

Skills :

Exceptional organizational, project management, and leadership skills. Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills with an ability to convey complex information clearly. Proficient in proposal software tools like Salesforce, GovWin, or equivalent. Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and government procurement strategies.

Attributes :

High energy, proactive, and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years in proposal development or business development within government contracting. Proven track record of leading successful proposals in a high-stakes environment. Experience in implementing and documenting proposal processes for a growing company. Strong background in managing and developing technical and management solutions during proposal development. Certifications:

APMP certification preferred. Shipley certification is preferred.

Pay Range:

$120,000 - $150,000 per hour
