Position Summary:
We seek a dynamic, results-driven High Energy Proposal Director to lead our proposal development team. This role requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills, a strategic mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. The High Energy Proposal Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire proposal lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to submitting winning proposals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per hour

The High Energy Proposal Director will be responsible for overseeing the entire proposal lifecycle, from identifying opportunities to submitting winning proposals.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Proposal Strategy Development:
- Analyze government solicitations, RFPs, and market trends to identify business opportunities aligning with company capabilities.
- Develop strategic approaches for each proposal, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company goals.
- Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of proposal managers, writers, and coordinators.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
- Proposal Management:
- Oversee the full proposal development process including planning, scheduling, and compliance checks.
- Coordinate all aspects of proposal preparation, from kickoff meetings to final production and submission.
- Client Interaction:
- Engage with potential and existing government clients to understand their needs and tailor proposals accordingly.
- Participate in pre-proposal meetings, site visits, and industry days.
- Business Development Support:
- Work closely with the business development team to capture new opportunities and enhance win rates.
- Provide insights and feedback to senior management on market trends, competitive landscape, and customer priorities.
- Quality Assurance:
- Ensure all proposals meet high standards of quality, compliance, and competitiveness.
- Review proposals for strategic alignment, clarity, and persuasive arguments.
- Handle both task order proposals and large, multi-faceted proposals that may include oral presentations, client reference checks, and various proposal volumes (technical, past performance, cost, and management).
- Take end-to-end ownership of the proposal process, ensuring adherence to deadlines and compliance with RFP requirements.
- Skills:
- Exceptional organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
- Strong writing, editing, and presentation skills with an ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Proficient in proposal software tools like Salesforce, GovWin, or equivalent.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze market data and government procurement strategies.
- Attributes:
- High energy, proactive, and adaptable to rapidly changing priorities.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years in proposal development or business development within government contracting.
- Proven track record of leading successful proposals in a high-stakes environment.
- Experience in implementing and documenting proposal processes for a growing company.
- Strong background in managing and developing technical and management solutions during proposal development.
- APMP certification preferred.
- Shipley certification is preferred.
Pay Range: $120,000 - $150,000 per hour
