based out of our corporate headquarters in Lakeville, MA or our Seaport Boston, MA location with Mondays & Fridays remote.
The Finance Manager plays a critical role within the Operations FP&A team, driving financial leadership, strategic insights, and operational efficiency in partnership with procurement buyers, co-packing managers, and cross-functional teams. This individual is accountable for financial analysis, cost management, process improvement, and business decision support. Acting as a key finance partner, they lead initiatives to enhance transparency, optimize spending, and drive cost-saving opportunities, ensuring alignment with the organization's long-term goals.
A Day in the Life...
Cost Management and Financial Reporting
Design and develop monthly spending reports, including variance analyses for purchase price variance, obsolescence, and inbound freight. Collaborate with accounting, corporate FP&A, and other partners to resolve financial, cost, and accounting issues. Analyze historical spend data to inform future forecasts and improve financial assumptions. Oversee budgets and variance analyses for supply chain cost centers, ensuring alignment with financial goals. Strategic Financial Support
Partner with procurement and co-pack teams to create insightful tools and reporting, driving effective decision-making and understanding of trends. Evaluate and monitor capital expenditure projects to ensure alignment with long-term strategic goals and clear ROI. Support Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes, providing insights into variance drivers and their impact on future plans. Process and System Improvements
Design and implement process improvements to enhance transparency, reporting, and analytics. Collaborate cross-functionally to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards to track performance. Engage in system enhancements to streamline operations and improve reporting accuracy. Forecasting and Decision Support
Lead the forecasting process for supply chain teams, including procurement, domestic and international co-packing Provide financial guidance for the development of long-range plans, annual operating plans, and monthly forecasts. Develop financial models and analysis to support cost of goods sold (COGS) and other strategic initiatives. Operational Performance and Thought Leadership
Leverage financial analysis to identify opportunities to reduce costs, streamline processes, and enhance operational performance. Conduct monthly business reviews with key external partners to align on financial objectives. Present financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership, enabling informed decision-making and strategic alignment. Performance Management and Accountability
Develop and monitor scorecards and KPIs to measure progress against financial goals. Drive continuous improvement in forecasting accuracy, budgeting processes, and financial reporting. What We Are Looking For:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field 5+ years of experience in FP&A, supply chain finance, or operations finance roles. Expertise in financial modeling, reporting tools, and ERP systems; experience with data visualization tools is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect financial results to operational drivers. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement process improvements. Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. Preferred
Systems application experience on SAP, Vena, o9, and PowerBI MBA or CPA Education: Bachelor's or University Degree (Required)
Master's Degree (Preferred)
Work Experience: At least 5 Years of Experience
