Job Summary: We are seeking a trained and experienced Scrum Master to facilitate and support a Scrum team in achieving sprint goals and deliverables. The Scrum Master will be accountable for ensuring that the Scrum process is followed correctly and will work to remove any impediments that may arise. The ideal candidate will help the team stay focused on their tasks, foster collaboration, and ensure that the team remains self-managed. The role requires a proactive leader who can guide the team to successfully deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Sprint Management: Ensure that Sprint objectives are met in collaboration with the Scrum team. Facilitate the team's commitment to the Sprint and ensure all Sprint goals are achieved. Own and help resolve impediments, ensuring the team remains productive and focused. Ensure the correct implementation and adherence to the Agile process within the team. Collaboration & Facilitation: Protect the team from external interference to maintain focus and productivity. Foster self-management within the team and encourage cross-team collaboration. Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Grooming, Sprint Demos, and Retrospectives. Facilitate communication between team members and assist in resolving any technical challenges. Product Ownership Support: Assist the Product Owner (PO) in adopting and properly applying the Scrum process. Support the PO in managing the Product Backlog, defining User Stories, and establishing Acceptance Criteria. Ensure that all necessary Scrum artifacts are updated and accessible, including the DoD (Definition of Done) and DoR (Definition of Ready). Metrics & Continuous Improvement: Track key Scrum metrics and take corrective actions as necessary to improve team performance. Help the team reach stable velocity and ensure consistent improvement over multiple sprints (6-8 sprints, with a 10% variation). Create competency improvement and cross-skilling plans for the team, ensuring at least 50% multiskilling by the start of the project and ongoing improvement. Training & Coaching: Train team members on proper adoption and implementation of Agile processes (Scrum, XP, Kanban). Assist in the adoption of engineering practices such as ATDD (Acceptance Test Driven Development), TDD (Test Driven Development), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), and Refactoring. Own the actions from retrospectives and ensure they are implemented effectively. Community & Feedback: Participate in community of practice initiatives and provide insights into internal quality forums (QIC, APR, QBR, MBR). Provide feedback to the Agile Line Manager and Agile Program Leader regarding team performance and development. Tool Management: Ensure daily updates to the ALM tool (client or Wipro). Maintain and update Scrum artifacts and track metrics in the internal tool on a Sprint-by-Sprint basis. Required Qualifications: Proven experience as a Scrum Master with a solid understanding of Scrum methodologies. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and manage all Scrum ceremonies effectively. Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to removing impediments. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Experience with Agile tools and software (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, or other ALM tools). Ability to lead and coach teams on Agile principles and practices. Experience in Agile project management and metrics analysis. Ability to foster team self-management and promote a collaborative working environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience in leading Scrum teams in complex, fast-paced environments. Familiarity with other Agile frameworks such as XP (Extreme Programming) or Kanban. Experience working with teams on engineering practices like ATDD, TDD, CI/CD, and Refactoring. Previous involvement in community of practice initiatives or internal quality forums. Experience working in a multi-team environment, including participation in Scrum of Scrums. Certifications (if any): Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Scrum certification. Agile Coaching or Leadership certification (e.g., Certified Agile Coach or Certified Scrum Professional) is a plus. Education: Bachelors Degree
