The Role
Do you want to make a difference and be part of our Core Brokerage Platform Technology's (CBPT) Office of the OCIO that helps drive the strategy and planning process?
We are seeking a Director of Business Engagement, who will be a key member of the CBPT Office of the OCIO.
In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our business engagement strategy for the portfolio of programs we provide to our customers and firm-wide channel partners. This role requires a strong strategic and communication mindset, and a meticulous focus on content creation, associate engagement, and meetings & events planning to support a technology portfolio that drives business outcomes across a variety of stakeholders and senior leaders.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in business or a technical area (MIS, Computer Science, Engineering) required; MBA preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in Business Administration, Management Consulting, Communications, or a related field.
- Thrive in a fast-paced, forward-thinking, and constantly evolving team environment with a solid intuition for technology and its ability to drive business value and outcome-driven results.
- Modern, digital, and authentic communicator with the ability to lead, develop and implement integrated communications programs that help connect our associates to the organization and its work.
- Adept at exploring new, creative, and engaging ways to proactively tell the CBPT story translating complex topics into compelling messages to connect stakeholders to our programs and their progress.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and presentation skills to deliver clear, concise, and compelling strategic communications to a variety of audiences.
- Highly motivated and can thrive in a fast-paced, forward-thinking, and dynamic team environment.
- You have excellent communications skills - written and verbal - with the ability to influence executive leadership through the creation and delivery of powerful presentations and personal interactions to influence outcomes and executive interactions.
- Proven ability to understand complex business problems and synthesize detailed technology information into messaging that is relatable to multiple audiences and management levels.
- Experience in management consulting or similar role that requires a strategic mindset blended with operational governance and technology-oriented program management.
- Strong ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure alignment and effective communication of business objectives - coaching leaders, partners, and colleagues across a range of needs.
- Strong working knowledge and experience in leading multiple and simultaneous projects, ensuring that all efforts meet Fidelity's high standards in the areas of accuracy, ethics, legal and compliance.
- Ability to unite our associate engagement and elevate our "brand awareness" across the firm through an evolving strategy that is flexible and data/feedback driven to strengthen the experiences of our associates.
The Team
The Office of the CIO leads CBPT's strategy and planning vision to support our business unit's execution and delivery, working closely with Domain Leaders, Program Managers, and in collaboration with Strategy & Planning teams across the firm. We drive the routines and best practices to support our technology portfolio, creating transparency, and awareness of the work we do through the management of central routines and activities - including planning, prioritization, and roadmap alignment.

At Fidelity, our goal is for most people to work flexibly in a way that balances both personal and business needs with time onsite and offsite through what we are calling "Dynamic Working." Most associates will have a hybrid schedule with a requirement to work onsite at a Fidelity work location for five consecutive business days, every other week. These requirements are subject to change.
Reminder: Per the Dynamic Working Guidelines, approved exceptions will be reviewed annually, or when the associate accepts a new role, whichever comes first.
The base salary range for this position is $103,000-$218,000 per year.Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate's relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
