****Neomorph is seeking an intern to join our Data Science team. This internship offers an excellent opportunity to develop your data science skills while working on cutting-edge research in drug discovery. The intern will have the opportunity to gain knowledge and experience in data integration, analytics, and scientific computing. They will learn to translate analytical needs into data pipelines that deliver meaningful insights.
Duration
This is a paid, part-time internship. The ideal start date will be in January 2025, and we expect the duration of the internship to be initially 14 weeks, with a minimum of 16 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
Currently working towards a bachelor’s or a master’s degree in bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields. Students in other majors but with relevant experience will be considered.
Fluent in at least one programming language for data analysis, such as Python or R.
Experience with Linux-based computing environments.
Experience of version control (Git/Github), and container applications (Docker).
Good communication skills and a high degree of attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous hands-on experience in bioinformatics projects outside coursework
Experience in workflow development in bioinformatics with Nextflow is highly preferred.
Basic knowledge of biology or chemistry.
