Job Summary:
The Human Resources (HR) Manager carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, safety, and employment law compliance. The HR Manager closely collaborates with key decision makers in the process of building out new HR-related initiatives, while evaluating and growing current programs. The person fulfilling this role must have a flexible, positive, can-do attitude. This is an on-site position.
Job Responsibilities: Administer various human resource plans and procedures for all organization personnel; develop and implement personnel policies and procedures; prepare and maintain the employee handbook and the policies and procedures manual Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems Administer the compensation program; monitor the performance evaluation program and revise as necessary Perform benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency and compliance Maintain employee information in payroll platform Isolved. Conduct recruitment effort for all exempt and nonexempt personnel; conducts new-employee orientations; monitor career-pathing program; and writes and places advertisements Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling and exit interviewing Maintain company organization charts and the employee directory Maintain human resource information system records and compiles reports from the database Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment and benefits laws and regulations Maintain workers compensation claims and return to work program. Completes initial reporting, accident investigations, communicate employee work restrictions, claim adjuster correspondence, tracking and claim review analysis for settlements Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency Adhere to Good Manufacturing Processes, Food Safety Standards and related operational procedures Other projects and duties as assigned Skills & Requirements
Required Education, Skills and Experience
Must have strong oral and written communication skills, business acumen, excellent project management, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environment
Must be able to multi-task, deal effectively with ambiguity, recognize trends and identify systemic approaches to solving problems in a matrixed and dynamic environment. Benefits management Understanding of organizational dynamics and the ability to think strategically are essential. Strong understanding of full-cycle recruiting. Must be able to work with confidential information and must consistently exercise good judgment and a high level of discretion in dealing with a variety of situations Meticulous attention to detail, quality and follow through Proactive, self-starter, adaptable and flexible Experience with ISolved payroll system Preferred Education and Experience
A bachelor's degree with emphasis on Human Resources Management and/or related field plus 5 plus years of HR Management experience SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred Experience as an HR Manager in a manufacturing environment Proficient in Spanish is a plus Experience with Labor and Industries Work Environment/Physical Deman

$85k-$115k Annually Exempt Position
