The Director of Sortation, Operations will oversee sortation processes across all GoBolt sites in the US and Canada, ensuring seamless sorting and load-out operations. This leadership role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, merchant performance, and quality improvements while maintaining cost efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strategic mindset, operational expertise, and a passion for innovation. Start Time:

4AM Key Responsibilities: Operational Management:

Oversee daily sortation operations at all sites (day and night) through local leadership. Ensure all operations are conducted efficiently, safely, and in compliance with company standards. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational performance and identify areas for improvement.

Team Leadership:

Recruit, train, and manage a team of employees, including warehouse staff, drivers, and administrative personnel. Foster a positive and productive work environment by providing clear direction, feedback, and support. Conduct regular performance reviews and implement development plans for team members.

Customer Satisfaction:

Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly and effectively. Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding service level agreements (SLAs). Implement customer feedback mechanisms to continuously improve service delivery.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure all site operations comply with health and safety regulations. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions as necessary. Maintain compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and standard operating procedures.

Financial Management:

Develop and manage the sortation budget by site, ensuring cost-effective operations. Monitor financial performance, including revenue, expenses, and profitability for all sortation operations. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.

Logistics Coordination:

Coordinate with other GoBolt sites and the central logistics team to optimize the flow of goods and information. Manage supporting inventory levels at all sites to ensure stock to ensure continued operations. Oversee the scheduling (load out) and routing of deliveries to ensure timely and accurate distribution.

Continuous Improvement:

Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to keep the site operations up-to-date. Lead or participate in cross-functional projects aimed at improving overall business performance.

Reporting and Analysis:

Own 100% closure of all shipment deliveries/ exception management within the stipulated time. Present the analysis on a weekly basis to the senior management. Prepare regular reports on site performance, including operational, financial, and customer satisfaction metrics. Analyze data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement. Present findings and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus. 10+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or a similar field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. Proven experience managing sortation or warehouse operations across multiple sites. Strong analytical skills with experience in performance tracking and reporting. Exceptional leadership and team-building abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with sustainable practices in logistics is preferred.
