Our law firm has a full-time attorney position available and we’re looking for the right professional to join our team.
The Attorney will provide legal counsel to existing clients in their litigation matters and also be responsible for working with and managing a staff of 5 other scrappy professionals - a younger attorney and a paralegal team. We are looking for an experienced Probate/Guardianship Attorney with Litigation Experience but will consider an Experienced Litigator in other areas with the understanding that they will have to learn the area of Probate/Guardianship.
Responsibilities:
Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions Supervise and mentor lower level attorneys in proper conflict resolution techniques You MUST be able to manage your cases from beginning to end Must be able to delegate to and supervise the work of paralegals and assistants Review and approve drafts of probate documents for administrations, guardianships & estate-related litigation Draft substantive complaints, motions, oppositions, correspondence, and other pleadings for contested matters Draft and respond to interrogatories, subpoenas, and document requests Take and Defend Depositions Present Witnesses at Evidentiary Hearings Attend meetings and court hearings This is a mostly in-office, client-facing position You will be dealing directly with clients and responsible for communicating with other counsel Qualifications:
Admitted to local and state bar associations Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills At least 5 years of experience working as a senior associate attorney 5+ years of Probate, Guardianship, and Adversarial Estate Litigation experience or enough to be

in this role You must be able to take a file from start to finish on your own Must be a member of The Florida Bar of course! Bilingual English/Spanish This is a full-time position with a base salary + Variable Comp for performance Compensation:
$140,000
