The Role
We are looking for an Audience Planner for an AI powered content studio dedicated to a large automotive client. You will be immersed in data, leveraging everything from brand tracking to site pathing to ensure data-led insights drive all strategic thinking. This data-centric approach will inform every aspect of our work, including audience definition, media planning and buying, and crucially, creative messaging and decision-making. This role operates in a dynamic, real-time environment where decisions are made hourly and daily, not just during post-campaign reviews. The ideal candidate blends data literacy with a passion for shaping creative messaging and thrives as a key contributor within a truly integrated team.
This role uses data to refine audience targeting for maximum efficiency and effectiveness, as well as to inspire and refine creative platforms and messaging. By exploring insights within the dataset and other relevant first and third-party sources, the Audience Planner will define audiences with three key goals: sizing potential, identifying preferences to inform creative direction and messaging, and analysing competitor brands. Furthermore, this role involves budget setting, using audience size by market and other data signals to recommend campaign spend.
Key Responsibilities: Develop and deliver data-backed audience plans for a high volume of digital-first projects, collaborating closely with the wider team. Ensure the quality and consistency of audience planning outputs across the group. Manage and enhance our audience planning toolkit, evaluating and recommending syndicated tools while also developing our internal capabilities. Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in strategy, analytics, and across our network. Champion data best practices by creating and sharing resources and training materials with the team. Design and execute tests of new data strategies, analysing results and sharing key learnings. Develop compelling case studies showcasing successful data-driven campaigns. Evaluate emerging data opportunities and strategic partnerships to maintain our client's competitive edge. Develop and present insightful POVs on data partners and their potential value. Manage pilot programs, analyse performance, and provide actionable recommendations. Identify high-intent audiences and develop targeted messaging strategies. Key skills:
Proven experience in digital audience planning, demonstrating a strong understanding of data analysis and its application to campaign strategy. Knowledge of how AI can be utilized in the creation and delivery of content campaigns. Experience working with large datasets and leveraging data platforms (e.g., Oracle Data Cloud, similar platforms). Strong analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems using data-driven approaches. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and proactively, taking ownership of projects and delivering results with minimal supervision. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships with internal and client stakeholders.
