We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell V-280, part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless, Bell’s Autonomous Pod Transport (APT), and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation stop-fold tilt-rotor. This position is onsite in Fort Worth; however, exceptions for alternate work arrangements may be considered.
Supplier Quality Assurance
Supplier Quality Assurance plays a pivotal role in managing the supply base quality performance while mitigating risk and driving improvements throughout the supply chain. This includes qualifying suppliers through their management systems and capabilities, monitoring and partnering for quality performance improvement, and communicating and supporting business objectives to ensure that quality product and processes are compliant at first receipt and throughout the life of the program. What you’ll be doing as a Supplier Quality Assurance Specialist
Performs Supplier Audits of Classified and Major suppliers, Processors and Service Providers, as applicable. Creates and utilizes source inspection work plans for use by Source Inspection or Suppliers. Coordinates answers to Supplier Reports and Corrective Actions as a result of Audit, Compliance, or Product deficiencies or escapes. Performs source inspections of product. Conducts First Article Inspections, including validation and verification of engineering characteristics and requirements. Provides input and data for CAB I and CAB II meetings (Corrective Action Board). Interacts with internal and external customers. Supports cross-functional teams engaged in continuous improvement initiatives. Performs various administrative activities related to supplier quality information in the company’s ERP system. Independently determines and develops approaches and solutions compliantly within policies & procedures. Leverages experience and knowledge for the improvement of the organization. Supports Customer Service organization on RCCA on Buy part returns as necessary. Skills You Bring To this Role
Familiarity with methods of inspection, processes control and improvement techniques. Familiarity with prevalent industry Quality Systems & Records (inclusive of retention requirements and backup). Familiarity with Metrology/Calibration for purposes of audit and measurement system analysis. Strong business acumen. Proven problem-solving skills: Demonstrates an advanced level of root-cause analysis. What you need to be successful
Bachelor's degree (Engineering or Aerospace degree preferred). 5+ years relevant experience in Supplier Quality Assurance. Excellent presentation skills. Ability to work in cross-functional teams. Ability to travel up to 50% to support other sites. Good communication skills, written and verbal. Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with CAD tools like Catia V 5/6, MATLAB and ANSYS, SAP, Enovia. What we offer you in return
