The educational/program director ensures the delivery of high-quality programs and instructional programming. The school's overall responsibility includes recruiting families and staff to maximize staffing and enrollment. This position also requires representing the program in the best professional manner and carrying out all daily operations requirements. Must be able to guide teaching staff in the delivery of instructions with fidelity, lesson planning, and assessment checkpoints using COR Advantage Assessment tool. Familiar with NAEYC Accreditation, DC Early Learning Standards of Learning, including curriculum implementation in classrooms, assessing staff training needs and development, parent and community relations, staff supervision, and facility management. Minimum Requirements:
Must hold a bachelor's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or a closely related field. Knowledge of ITERS, CLASS, and the QRIS. Ability to create a welcoming environment where families feel welcome and an important part of the program. Must follow all regulatory agency's requirements and demands and respond in a timely manner. Must establish a reasonable marketing/recruitment plan to market and recruit new families to ensure the center maintains its licensing capacity at all times.
