Boston University Enrollment Services Operations (ESO) is seeking a skilled
Advising Functional Analyst
responsible for supporting and enhancing applications that facilitate key processes for more than 36,000 students. This role will focus on business and functional analysis for both packaged and custom applications, specifically for Highpoint tools used in student advising. The Analyst will collaborate closely with the Highpoint and Campus Community Lead, as well as the Associate Director for Advising, to document and maintain system requirements, processes, integrations, and data mappings. The Advising Functional Analyst works closely with other Student records functional analyst, to ensure cross-functional synergies. In addition, the position will collaborate closely with IS&T technical support for the Campus Solutions and Highpoint. The Advising Functional Analyst’s primary duties include: Analyzing, designing, developing and/or improving business processes to meet university objectives; Document and update business processes, test cases, and data mappings, ensuring they align with current system requirements and any necessary adjustments; Participate in project teams to analyze, test, and release applications, components, and integrations, ensuring they meet business, architectural, and service standards; Implement and maintain best practices related to enhancement requests, defect remediation, and ongoing system optimization. About the Organization Boston University Enrollment Services Operations is part of the Enrollment & Student Administration unit (ENSA). BU Enrollment Service Operations plays a critical role in ENSA’s mission; enrolling and retaining students, by supporting and designing operational and technical infrastructure to support the student user experience. We are seeking a candidate who: Requirements: Has at least five years of previous experience in a similar role, ideally in programming or in higher education; Possesses strong analytical and organizational skills; Is detail-oriented; Is an effective problem solver and communicator; Is able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment; Is committed to equity, diversity, and inclusion; Has an understanding of JCL, HTML, Microsoft Office products and familiarity with data analysis tools. This role will require extensive work with PeopleSoft Campus Solutions. Experience with Campus Solutions, or a similar student information platform is highly preferred.
