Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Snowflake Data Engineer to design, implement, and optimize data storage and integration solutions. In this role, you will work on building scalable and efficient data pipelines and ensuring data security and compliance within the Snowflake ecosystem. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, ETL pipelines, and data migration processes, with a focus on improving data query performance and troubleshooting data issues. Key Responsibilities: Data Storage Solutions: Design and implement scalable, efficient, and secure data storage solutions using Snowflake. SQL Optimization: Write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries within the Snowflake environment. Data Integration: Integrate Snowflake with various data sources, third-party tools, and other platforms to create a seamless data pipeline. ETL Pipeline Development: Develop, optimize, and maintain ETL pipelines to move, transform, and store data efficiently in the Snowflake data warehouse. Data Migration: Manage and execute data migration from existing databases to Snowflake, ensuring accuracy and minimal downtime. Database Objects: Create, maintain, and optimize views, stored procedures, and other database objects to ensure seamless data operations. Query Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize query performance to improve data retrieval and analysis speed. Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, ensuring data quality and reliability. Data Security and Compliance: Implement data security measures and enforce access controls to ensure compliance with industry standards and data privacy regulations. Required Qualifications: Snowflake Expertise: Strong experience with Snowflake data warehousing, including designing, implementing, and optimizing data storage solutions. SQL Proficiency: Advanced skills in writing and optimizing SQL queries, including complex joins, subqueries, and stored procedures. ETL Processes: Experience developing and optimizing ETL pipelines using modern ETL tools and methodologies. Data Migration: Proven experience managing data migration projects from traditional databases to Snowflake. Database Optimization: Experience with query optimization, indexing, and performance tuning in Snowflake. Security & Compliance: Knowledge of data security, access controls, and compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations. Troubleshooting: Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills related to data issues. Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software engineers. Preferred Qualifications: Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with other cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud in relation to data storage and management. Data Tools: Experience with data integration tools (e.g., Talend, Apache Kafka, Informatica) and third-party data connectors. Data Modeling: Experience with data modeling and designing data structures that optimize performance and scalability. Automation: Knowledge of automating data workflows using scripting or orchestration tools like Airflow or Prefect. Certifications: Snowflake Certified Data Engineer (Preferred but not required). AWS Certified Solutions Architect or similar cloud certifications (Preferred but not required). Education: Bachelors Degree
