Your Future Role
The SQL Developer III role will play a critical part in designing, developing, and maintaining SQL Server and Snowflake database models and developing complex queries to support business analytics. You will build scalable data architectures, optimizing database performance, and ensuring data accuracy across systems. We ask that you have skills in writing and tuning SQL queries, data modeling, and maintaining cloud-based data solutions. Collaboration with stakeholders to translate business needs into data structures is essential.
What You'll Do Design and develop database models:
Design efficient and scalable database architectures in SQL Server and Snowflake to meet business intelligence, analytics, and operational requirements. Develop a state-of-the-art Snowflake data warehouse to enable self-service analytics and integrate AI and data marketplace insights. Evaluate database models' performance and scalability by monitoring query response times, resource usage, and scalability under growing data loads, as well as ensuring uptime and stability in production environments. Develop and optimize SQL queries:
Write, troubleshoot, and optimize complex SQL queries to ensure accuracy in data retrieval. Track query performance by measuring execution time, resource utilization (CPU, memory), and accuracy of results, ensuring queries run within acceptable thresholds and meet performance benchmarks for large datasets. Build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines:
Design and manage data integration processes, ensuring data is ingested, transformed, and delivered across systems. Measure pipeline success rate, data latency, and error rate by tracking the percentage of successful ETL/ELT jobs, time taken for data ingestion and transformation, and the number of failed or erroneous data loads, ensuring prompt and accurate data delivery across systems. Monitor and optimize database performance:
Monitor and optimize database performance, identify and resolve bottlenecks in both SQL Server and Snowflake environments. Track query response times, resource utilization (CPU, memory, I/O), and concurrency handling while monitoring system uptime and incidents related to performance bottlenecks, ensuring databases operate within defined performance thresholds and meet SLAs for availability and efficiency. Ensure data governance and security compliance:
Implement data quality controls, enforce data governance standards, and ensure compliance with security and privacy regulations across database solutions. Track compliance audit results and adherence to data quality standards, measuring the percentage of successful audits and the consistency of data governance practices following regulatory and security requirements. What You'll Bring
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or a related field 4+ year of experience as a Database Developer, Database Engineer or similar role Extensive experience with SQL Server and Snowflake: Knowledge of database architecture, design, and optimization for both platforms, including optimization, indexing, partitioning, and clustering strategies. Advanced SQL proficiency: Ability to write, optimize, and troubleshoot complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions, ensuring quality and accuracy in data processing. Understanding of database administration and Snowflake cloud platform management. Proficiency in data manipulation, cleaning, and transformation using tools like SQL, Python, or R Understanding of database management systems and data warehousing concepts Understanding of data integration pipeline development techniques and best practices, using tools like Snowpipe, Mulesoft, SSIS, Azure Data Factory, Dell Boomi. Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and best practices Highly proficient in organization and communication What We Offer
Coverage on the first day of employment for medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid parental leave (16 weeks for primary caregiver and 8 weeks for secondary caregiver) Flexible PTO plan Hybrid model work schedule (50% in office) 401k matching plan HSA employer contributions Student loan assistance Pet insurance
