Summary You will serve as a IT Specialist (APPSW) in the Fleet Readiness Center Southeast, Corporate OPS & Total Force Group, IT/IM Department of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST. Responsibilities You will conduct systems maintenance (e.g., upgrading, debugging) for continued system operability. You will design tests for programs and databases to identify errors or complete modifications. You will advise system users on troubleshooting application software problems. You will author data management documents (e.g., data dictionaries, data models, metadata repositories) to meet organizational objectives. You will administer security services to detect unauthorized access to information systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing some or all of the following duties: Installing, configuring, testing, monitoring and maintaining computer applications. Establishing protocols for software applications and ensuring their ease of use. Navigating computer operating systems, networking, and computer hardware Using SQL Databases and the tools to add data and query those databases Providing technical guidance in designing, coding, testing, debugging, and maintaining programs. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
