Summary This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. This is not a high grade position: therefore, salary may not exceed the GS-13 Step 10 ($134,435) You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the WATERFRONT ONSITE BRANCE (Code 2524) of NAVUNSEAWARCENDIV NEWPORT RI. Responsibilities You serve as an IT site lead at the Naval Surface Warfare Center Newport (NUWC) detachment in Kings Bay, GA. You will support shipboard IT compliance efforts. You will develop NUWC technical policies and business process to enhance the detachment's ability to provide direct fleet support. You will preform technical oversite of modernization preformed by Alternation Installation Teams (AIT). You will lead efforts to support OHIO Class submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic Systems (NEPS). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NT-04 (GS-11/12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector evaluating and developing Information Technology (IT) specifications, ensuring compliance with cybersecurity requirements, and troubleshooting complex IT issues to support submarine operations.
