Platte River Internship Opportunity

NOTE: All 2024 intern positions have been filled. Intern recruiting for both 3 and 9-month options typically occurs in the spring. If you have previously applied, we kindly ask for application materials (including resume, cover letter) to be updated no later than March 24.

Platte River Power Authority offers a wide variety of operational, technical and professional experiences. Interns gain hands-on experience in their curriculum, directly collaborate with co-workers and face a unique set of real projects and challenges.

Internships are offered as one of the following options:

1. 40 hours per week for three months (typically over the summer)

2. Up to 29 hours a week for up to nine months

Eligibility criteria:

• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Platte River cannot offer employment to individuals with current or future sponsorship needs (e.g. H1B visa, OPT/CPT).
• Must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university at the start of the internship.
  • Internships are regularly designed as undergraduate opportunities for junior and senior-year students; recent graduates may be considered.
• Interns are responsible for arranging and funding their own lodging and transportation. While the internship is paid, housing and travel expenses are not covered by the program.
