Allied Consultants, Inc. is an Austin-based firm which has for 32 years been a premier provider of technical and business professionals to clients in Texas. We are currently seeking an experienced System Administrator to be a key resource on a technical services team.

Responsibilities

System admin. Duties may include server administration tasks, domain/DNS tasks, Administrating user/domain security, and ITIL - ticketing. The system analyst will provide support for critical TIERS systems, 24x7 on-call rotation is required. Some weekend work is required. Support may require on-premises work at times.

High level knowledge and experience of network facilities and data processing techniques, of computer hardware and software, of network operating system and security software, and of performance monitoring and capacity management tools.

Extensive knowledge and experience using LDAP/Windows Active Directory, Microsoft SQL Server, and Hypervisor Experience with Hyper-V and VMware.

Knowledge and experience of administering Windows Systems (Group Policy, Kerberos, NTLM, TCP/IP, WINS, DNS, DHCP, PXE), Linux, Network Administration, IT Governance, and Security/Privacy policies and tools. In-depth knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP, DN

Additional / Preferred experience supporting the following: Ansible, SFTP/FTPS, Kubernetes and open-source software. Ability to direct and organize work activities.

Strong ability to identify problems/issues, analyze and evaluate alternatives and recommend/implement effective solutions.

Solid hands on experience supporting Windows and Linux systems on AWS cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, etc).

Experience providing server and application support on a 24X7 on-call basis and on a rotating schedule basis. Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.

Experience with server hardware equipment replacement/upgrades.

Experience ITIL - ticketing using Remedy and ServiceNow.

Ability to plan and coordinates server maintenance activities with TIERS Data Center Contractor and CSPs services, including security patching and other activities related to the TIERS Security Program. May assist in Data Center Maintenance Coordination.
