WHAT'S IT LIKE?
It's a lot of fun and it's a lot of work. We'll point you in the right direction, and you'll be given a lot of responsibility and you'll own your area. You'll help build amazing events for our community. You'll make great connections and learn a lot about the sports business.

WHO IS A GREAT CANDIDATE?
  • People who care, who are driven, enthusiastic, fun-loving, goal-oriented, hungry to learn, ready to serve Lionsbridge FC fans and most of all, be great teammates.
  • If that's you... you're already a great candidate. But here are a couple of tiebreakers:
    • It helps to have some experience, or least to be studying, the areas relevant to your application (events, marketing and digital media, etc.)
  • Soccer experience or knowledge is certainly helpful, but not required

Let's talk about the time commitment. Depending on the role, it may require more than eight hours of work in a given day, particularly event days. All interns work every home game (up to 2 per week... 11 games plus playoffs). Depending on the role, you may have some non-game day hours (typically performed remotely), you may travel to away matches and you may cover training sessions (as needed).

These unpaid internships are best suited for students who can get college credit and/or who are looking to get their foot in the door in the extremely competitive sports industry.

Lionsbridge FC strives to have an inclusive environment and welcomes candidates from all backgrounds.

Job Questions:
  1. Have you already applied at LionsbridgeFC.com/apply? (If not, you definitely should!)
  2. If hired, what date are you available to start work?
  3. If you are currently in college, where do you attend, what is your major and when are you expecting to graduate?
  4. This is an unpaid internship for college credit and we are not able to provide local housing to our interns. Are you able to provide your own housing in the Newport News/Hampton Roads area?
