Aon is looking for a Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). As part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Global Security Services team. As Chief Information Security Officer, you will report directly to the Chief Security Officer.
Your Impact as a Chief Information Security Officer
- Business Aligned Risk Manager & Partner: Partner across the business, technology, and the executive leadership to drive awareness of aggregate risk considerations and propose how and where the company can elevate its security posture commensurate with the risk. Work hand-in-hand with key partners in Technology, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, Audit, etc., to coordinate and influence security initiatives across the enterprise and find opportunities to align those initiatives to the business imperative/strategy.
- Strategic Problem Solver & Execution-focused: Understand risk trends and macro considerations to effectively optimize the security posture of the firm towards a robust and effective control model that best uses both people and technology resources for efficient delivery. Develop long-term strategies that address key threats and risks while driving steadfast improvement through program and process execution.
- Technically and Operationally Adept in Security Best Practices: Establish and mature a “regulatory-ready” and “client-ready” security environment that directly meets or exceeds security best practices and standards across the global Aon landscape. Drive a multi-disciplinary approach to innovation in standards and controls across all aspects of Access, Network, Systems, Application, and Data Security that includes outstanding incident response and remediation.
- Risk Culture & Mindset: Lead and monitor information security & technology risk compliance across the organization, its partners, and associated third parties. Deepen the awareness of security & risk through the strong participation of Aon colleagues, customers, and business leaders in the Security program. Lead the Global Security Services organization in gaining, sustaining, and elevating cybersecurity talent.
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise
- Established CISO: Proven track record running a robust enterprise environment with a comprehensive security program.
- Regulated or Large/Global Industries: Prior experience working in a highly regulated or large/global enterprise.
- Transformation & Cloud: Prior experience conducting security transformations driving technology change to cloud and cloud-enabled solutions.
- Executive Presence: Effective communicator that can distill technical issues into business terms and language by successfully working with senior leaders, board, and audit/risk committees.
- Drives for Results: Established record of successful delivery of risk programs and initiatives driven through teamwork, steadfast pursuit of excellence, and operational command.
