Business Development Manager

Our client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to join their team. This role involves identifying and generating new business opportunities with OEMs, distributors, users, and strategic clients. The ideal candidate will lead efforts to win clients for innovative, sustainable products in electric motors and drives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and research potential clients
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Coordinate and assist in pilot implementations
  • Negotiate contract terms and communicate with stakeholders
  • Present to prospective clients and internal executives
  • Travel to client sites and trade shows as needed
  • Assist in developing sales strategies and marketing content
Requirements:
  • B.S./M.S. in engineering, business, or related field
  • 5+ years in B2B sales or business development
  • Proven ability to sell to industrial customers at the executive level
  • Familiarity with industrial markets, pumps, valves, VFDs, motors, and fluid handling
  • Technical in nature with good communication skills
  • Understanding of applications both electrical and mechanical
  • Strong focus on VFD and motor experience; essential for the role
