Compensation Range: $185,000 - 225,000 per year
Onsite Status: This is a Hybrid role and consists of a combination of WFH and In-Person work

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or other computer-related degree required.
  • 10 years of diversified IT experience required.
  • 5+ years managing first-level leaders and high-level professional staff required.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical IT architect capacity preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience leading and managing an Enterprise Architecture function preferred.
  • Experience in leading and managing change within the organization, driving technology-enabled business transformations is required.
  • Possesses a positive and proactive leadership style, with a strong executive presence, is required.
  • ITIL, TOGAF, Agile, SAFe, PMI, Organization Change Management, and Lean Six Sigma certifications preferred.
  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable and secure solutions preferred.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies, microservices architecture, and emerging technologies such as generative AI and its applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost/benefit tradeoff analysis, risk management, business ecosystems, to include 'as a service' preferred.

  • Strong technical expertise in enterprise architecture frameworks, cloud platforms (AWS and Azure), artificial intelligence, ERP systems, and ITIL processes.

  • Exposure to computer screens.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Required hybrid work schedule, at least 3 days/week in office.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Our Carrix IT team is seeking a highly focused and experienced Director-Enterprise Architecture to establish and lead an architecture practice. This role is crucial in transforming our organization by identifying customer requirements, building scalable platforms, and ensuring alignment with our mission and values.
  • Develops and maintains a comprehensive enterprise architecture framework, standards, governance principles, and provides strategic guidance on technology acquisition and lifecycle management.
  • Leads managers, architects, and IT professionals through guidance, coaching, and support to ensure assignments are completed in accordance with established guidelines, policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Collaborates and provides strategic guidance to key stakeholders, department heads, and senior management on enterprise architecture and technology-related matters.
  • Ensures IT Architecture and associated technology solutions are in place to meet business objectives.
  • Facilitates the creation and informs the enterprise architecture strategy with actionable roadmaps.
  • Creates a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversees the planning, design, implementation, and measurement of IT systems.
  • Provides guidance on the implementation of large or complex projects.
  • Manages the department budget and financial resources.
  • Stays abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes.
  • Participates in the evaluation and selection of vendors and management of vendor relationships.
  • Partners effectively with third-party service firms in support of the EA agenda.
  • Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders on the development of the technology capability roadmap.
  • Collaborates on the development of IT policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Leads the organizational change initiatives, ensuring smooth transition with minimal disruption.
  • Responsible for recruitment, development, retention, performance management, and succession planning.
  • Other duties as assigned.
