Worker's Compensation Attorney - Defense

CBIZ is assisting a client, located in LA, searching for a Worker's Compensation Attorney - Defense.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Represent employers and insurance carriers in workers' compensation claims.
2. Conduct thorough and accurate case evaluations, including initial case analysis, legal research, and assessment of potential exposure.
3. Review, analyze, and interpret medical records and reports to develop comprehensive defense strategies.
4. Prepare and draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs.
5. Conduct depositions, hearings, and trials, presenting well-prepared and effective arguments.
6. Engage in settlement negotiations and mediations to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
7. Advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks related to workers' compensation claims.
8. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
9. Collaborate with medical experts, vocational specialists, and other professionals to support case strategy.
10. Manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of client communication and service.
11. 10 years experience in defendant side.

Salary: 175-250K
