We are seeking a highly skilled anddynamicexecutive to join our financeleadership teamas our Vice President and Corporate Controller.
TheCorporateController is ademonstratedprofessional who isresponsiblefor the core operational aspects of our accounting and controls. TheCorporate Controllercollaboratescross-functionally with the broaderorganizationalong with the Chief Accounting Officer and will play a pivotal role in the company's accounting team in overseeing the financial operations and reporting across our global operations. Developing a global team of professionals, you will beresponsiblefor day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of all financial statements, which includesresponsibilityfor the controllership,corporateaccounting, record to report, financial reporting, and special reporting.A successful candidate is one who candeveloptalent, balance capabilities, costs andservicelevels, improve processes, and work effectively and strategically cross-functionally in a rapidly changing and growingenvironment.
This position is a People Manager role reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer.
- Lead, continue todevelop, and improve the global close processes for anexciting, rapidly growing SaaS company
- Oversee the preparation and analysis of accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual close and reporting efforts in accordance with Generally Accepted AccountingPrinciples(GAAP). Coordinate with internal and external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits
- Work with the revenue team to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition across various software product offerings, including SaaS offerings, and term licenses, in line with ASC 606 standards and related interpretations
- Oversee and optimize internal controls to ensure SOX compliance and coordinate with internal and external auditors as it relates to controls testing and evaluation of exceptions
- Assess financialrisksanddevelopstrategies to mitigate potential threats to the company's financialstabilityandgrowth. Stay informed about industry trends, accounting developments, and regulatory changes that may impact financial operations and reporting
- Oversee the technical team's establishment and maintenanceof accountingpolicies, ensuring practices and procedures comply with US at scale with high accounting quality
- Developdiversetalentto promote team retention to meet current and future businessneeds
- Set the standards as aguiding professionalandadvisorfor increased levels of employee jobsatisfactionand employeeengagementthrough the development and mentoring of the accounting team
- Work with the technical team on accounting positions of unusual and/or high judgment items and ensure the team preparesthe organizationfor impact, including GAAP/non-GAAP, subsequentevents, and adoption of new pronouncements
- Ensure overallcorporatecontrollership policies are aligned globally
- Oversee accounting integration and valuation for mergers & acquisitions
- Work closely with the strategic finance teamsupportingbudgeting and forecasting
- Take a primary role in the implementation of acquired businesses into the financial systems of the company
RequiredExperience, Education and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA)required
- Minimum of 15yearsrelevant work experience with at least 6yearsat a Big 4 accounting firm
- Progressivesubstantive experience in finance and accountingstakeholderroles, preferably in a public software or technology company
- Acollaborative,goal-oriented"initiator," who is asupportive,focused, high performing professional
- Experience with managing global accounting operations and working with international subsidiaries is a plus
- Verbal and writtencommunication skills; ability to effectively communicate status, issues,risks, and opportunities to all levels of theorganization
- Consistent record of developing high profile, influential andcollaborativerelationshipsacross teams, functions and layers, preferably expansive of navigating a large corporation
- Excellentmulti-tasking skills andflexibilityto switch from one project to the next
