As the Senior IT Applications Engineer, you will be the functional resource to support the production environments for all SAP planning and supply chain modules employed by the business:
Summary of Responsibilities Accountable for system configurations as an individual contributor; be the expert in the configuration and customizing technologies employed by SAP. Review changes made by project resources and ensure they conform to our standards; and ensure sustainability of the sap processes configured in the planning modules. Hands on designing, specifying, configuring to moving changes to production: perform technical mapping, gap analysis, and recommend the best way to address the gaps. Write detailed functional specifications for workflow, reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (WRICEF). Ensure that the solution implemented in each phase is consistent with the overall direction and the end state; author specifications at the level required for ABAP development; and estimate the development effort required. Perform peer reviews for other functional analysts. Coordinate self and others in the SAP team along with communication and support with business users: align with the IT teams to ensure accurate delivery of changes required by the business. Assist with technical work assigned to team members and help with technical workload balancing; and provide level 2 and 3 support for production systems and project implementations, as necessary. Project management: capable of providing technical support to others on larger change requests or projects impacting many SAP disciplines. Ability to break up larger change requests or projects into appropriate workstreams and provide support to Project Managers on estimates and plans; and work with the IT technical and business teams to identify and assist in addressing change management items. Perform other duties as assigned: working and coordinating with other IT teams (non-SAP); integrating SAP with other integration tools - IBM IIB middleware software; and gain SAP knowledge using SAP trainings, conferences, and local forums and transition on the rest of the team.
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT Engineering or equivalent 5 years of experience as consultant or related. 5 years of experience with: SAP S/4 HANA systems design and analysis; ABAP debugging; and SAP Global Available to Promise and Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling, including: Availability check, Capable to Promise scenarios, Production Allocation, RBA (Rules Based ATP), Planned Orders and Production Orders, Standard and custom heuristics, Production plans (Material Requirement Planning), and Capacity Plans, Demand Planning, Planning Areas, Characteristic Value Combination, Process chains, and Master Data (Routings, Bills of Materials, Production Version and Configurable materials). 3 years of experience with managing integration between SAP S/4 HANA material management, sales distribution, finance, inventory management, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) and data migration. Experience going through at least one SAP version upgrade project. Experience with at least three full SAP lifecycle implementation projects (from blueprint to go-live).
