With your expertise, we will use data insights to support Lifespark Complete, our unique approach to holistic senior health. In partnership with Director of Data and Analytics, you will help define our strategies around data governance, security, and analytics. You will bring your passion for how data can transform lives. This hands-on role will require the development of solid processes around ETL, data cleanliness, data wrangling as well as thorough knowledge around SQL, Python and other data-oriented languages. We are users of dbt, Dagster, and Snowflake, and are biased towards building data products using software engineering best practices. We hope you're eager to dive in Position Functions and Responsibilities Lead the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration, interoperability and analytics. Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, analysts, vendors and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions. Optimize and improve existing data infrastructure for performance, reliability, and scalability. Implement data quality and validation processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency. Develop and maintain documentation for data engineering processes and systems. Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and analytics. Build and manage APIs to ensure that data exchanged is available and reliable between disparate systems and is reflected accurately in our foundational data repositories. Work as part of our agile engineering team, cranking through stories and providing value. Maintain and build infrastructure in our cloud environment to support ongoing technological changes and development requirements. Qualifications Over 5 years of professional experience as a software developer, preferably in a data engineering role At least 3 years of experience with SQL, Python and data orchestration Proficiency in working with ETL data pipeline and workflow management tools such as Dagster and Snowpipes Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure and big data technologies. Strong understanding of API integrations with more that 2 years of experience building backend APIs. Experience working in Agile teams with a commitment to continuous improvement. A focus on maintainability, including willingness to engage in refactors, clean-ups, testing and documentation A proactive approach with a bias toward action and openness to using various tools and languages used to solve the problems. A team player with a positive and energetic attitude, thriving when solving unique and difficult problems. Experience with open-source data orchestration frameworks like Airflow or Dagster Strong communication and collaboration skills.
