Summary/Objective
The Human Resources Director will be based in our Indianapolis office and lead HR responsibilities for all operating states, exceeding 20 states including CA, NY, HI, MN, and CO. This individual will act as a strategic business partner with senior management on all human resources related issues. The major areas of responsibility will include: organizational planning and development; employee recruitment and retention; performance management; compensation structures; employee relations and culture building; benefit programs; safety and health; training and professional development.

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are variable and based on business need. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Physical Requirements
This position is indoors. Must be able to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period. May be asked to lift approximately 25 lbs. Exposure to moderate noise and light, i.e business office with computers, phone, printers, light foot traffic.

Essential Functions
- Develop human resources policies and processes that support the strategy, goals, and objectives of Location Services and its affiliated companies.
- Manage processes in such a manner that ensures cost-effectiveness, market competitiveness and internal equity among employees.
- Leads the development and continuous improvement of new Human Resources programs, such as training, healthcare management, hiring, workplace satisfaction, diversity programs, culture.
- Manage and monitor the performance management process to include: goal setting; performance appraisals; coaching and feedback; wage and salary structure; pay policies; and career development.
- Establishes recruitment, selection and promotional programs that support diversity and inclusion in the workforce.
- Continually assess the competitiveness of all programs and practices against relevant comparable companies, industries and markets.
- Develop appropriate policies and programs for effective management of business issues such as affirmative action; sexual harassment; employee complaints; training and development; career development.
- Monitor legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting the business local, state, and federal. These include OSHA, EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour issues, etc. Monitor the company's exposure and handle requests for information and reporting requirements.
- Coordinate HR activities throughout the organization.
- Coach, develop and mentor the HR support team.
- Support other areas such as relocation, immigration, employee communication, employee safety and health.
- Coordinate employee investigations, coaching/discipline, legal responses and training/compliance requirements.
- Acts as HR ambassador for customer audits, HR procurement meetings, compliance meetings, and external vendor or government agencies as needed.
- Other projects as necessary.

- Strong working knowledge of applying, interpreting, and ensuring compliance with payroll and employment regulations.
- Resourceful and well organized.
- Deep knowledge of Federal and local employment law, as well as government reporting obligations.
- Extremely strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent project management, problem solving and organizational skills
- Superior attention to detail with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
- High level of confidentiality
- Must have the flexibility to work non-routine business hours as business needs dictate

- Experience with HRIS systems (preferably ADP Workforce Now), and proven proficiency working with MS Office programs, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to establish credibility and get along with diverse personalities, tactful, mature and flexible.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree is a plus.
- SPHR or SHRM-SCP strongly preferred
- 5+ years' experience in Human Resources with 3+ years in a leadership role at a multi-site organization.
- Proven leadership experience in a growing organization with demonstrated career progression.
- Proven success in implementing new processes, leading project improvement teams, communicating changes effectively to others, building commitment and overcoming resistance, start ups.
- Experienced in resolving conflict between different parties. Strong consultative relationship building with leaders and employees.
- Possess a results-oriented focus while balancing the needs of the business with the needs of the individual.
