Summary The Associate Director of Admissions & Enrollment Marketing will work with and serve as back-up to the Assistant Dean of Communications and Enrollment Marketing. Supports the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Marketing in creating and implementing recruitment strategies for the Barry School of Law.
The Associate Director is primarily responsible for cultivating relationships with undergraduate institutions in order to establish communication and representation of Barry Law. The Associate Director will have a home base at the Barry Law campus in Orlando, FL, but will be required to travel when needed to represent Barry Law in various conferences and forums. Furthermore, the Associate Director will be responsible for maintaining a working relationship with the Law School Admissions Counsel, ensuring that the admissions department is up to date on all new practices.
This is an onsite position.
Essential Duties
Management of Recruitment Prospect Pool
Plan, organize and implement data driven recruitment strategy to meet overall university enrollment goals by utilizing available tools.
Serve as the primary contact to leads by routinely communicating by phone, email, chat, text, etc.
Travel to assigned recruitment forums and education conferences.
Create and implement a creative communication strategy for the prospective students designed to provide the appropriate information so the lead moves to the next stage in the funnel.
Work with the Assistant Dean of Communications and Enrollment to determine advertising goals, necessary updates to viewbook and supplemental materials and other similar needs.
Work with Assistant Dean of Communications to coordinate email blasts, Google advertising to be tied with the website message, Facebook advertising, chat features, and direct general website updates for admissions.
Engage the Law School community in developing cross-functional partnerships to enhance the prospective student experience.
Identify and attend recruitment events for prospective students and brand awareness within various communities.
Arrange and conduct individual meetings with leads, including virtual one-on-one meetings.
Arrange and conduct information sessions at both on and off-site locations, as well as virtually.
Establish new working relationships with undergraduate institutions to build viable prospects.
Utilize all technology platforms to create virtual experiences for viable prospects.
Establish recruitment event calendar, including events attending or hosting.
Plan and implement special events targeted to admitted students including but not limited to open houses with the goal of increasing deposits.
Host and schedule Admission to Oath series of events, which helps incoming students prepare for law school.
Determine necessary promotional items to help meet enrollment goals.
Serve as spokesperson and first line of contact for the admissions function and facilitate the daily business of the office
Represent the Barry University brand and serve as a content expert on all Barry programs for prospective students, business partners, community partners, etc.
Demonstrate and possess strong understanding of cultural competency and how to communicate with different audiences.
Conduct regular assessments of interactions with prospective students and make recommendations for needed updates of information to improve the customer experience.
Prepare and conduct admission presentations for small and large audiences.
Serve as back-up to Assistant Dean of Communications and Enrollment Marketing.
Address in-bound calls, voicemails, and emails for needed follow-up within 48 hours.
Maintain effective communications with the department of Financial Aid, and the Registrar to facilitate their efforts in the recruitment process.
Compile and send out mailings to prospects and admits.
Ensure deposited files are up to date and ready for end of cycle report.
Collect, synthesize, and analyze data
Prepare weekly/monthly reports on recruitment activities and lead behaviors.
Stay abreast of territory trends, market and demands to forecast recruitment strategies.
Proactively leverage recruitment databases and subscription services to design and implement strategies for building relationships with all constituents involved in the recruitment process.
Provide creative and cost-effective ideas to innovate recruitment strategy; utilizing technology solutions to track and benchmark critical data.
Contribute to annual recruitment plan.
Supervise Enrollment/Marketing Ambassadors
Train new ambassadors to follow in accordance with Admissions standards.
Supervise the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling and reviewing work, ensuring quality standards.
Is responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance and administrating corrective action for all student ambassadors.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree Required, J.D. degree preferred.
One to three (1-3) years of relevant experience required; experience in the Unite platform highly preferred.
Ability to effectively and enthusiastically communicate the distinctive strengths and benefits of a legal education to multiple audiences that include prospective students of different backgrounds, prelaw advisers, faculty members at undergraduate colleges, parents, foreign attorneys and others interested in law admissions.
Ability and interest in traveling outside of the state and overseas.
Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills.
Highly organized and student-centered.
