Job Description:
This role will lead the overall relationship spanning multiple levels of seniority on the buying and selling work streams as well as influencing internally and driving the agenda in Mars. Leading a team of 2 associates, this role will engage and develop direct reports to ensure the team develop a world-class customer relationship, excellent execution, and strong internal collaboration to drive profitable growth for Mars and its partners. This role will act as a role model across the wider sales organization with high potential to become a people leader in a future role.
What are we looking for?
Extensive Grocery customer facing experience, at all levels including priority customers with a track record of results, impact, and influence. Experience of working in a multi-functional business unit environment. Knowledge of broad business management and commercial management skills (business forecasting, financial analysis, P&L management, supply side knowledge). Track record in developing and executing tailored customer plans and strategies, sales and category solutions that deliver profitable growth. Experience in trade revenue optimisation, including building, implementing, and evaluating a customer investment plan with a consistent track record of ROI and sales growth. What will be your key responsibilities?
The development and execution of the 1-3 year Partner Group strategy to deliver on the strategic and commercial ambition of the customer. Develop the relationship at Category Buying Manager and Category Director (when required) level as well as strategic customer relationships across the contact matrix (i.e. buying, end to end supply chain, category, formats, marketing). Set and manage team to deliver input and output metrics across sales, profit, forecast accuracy, trade spend, distribution, feature, and activation. Maximise return on investment within the business. Accountability for performance and opportunities through the S&OP cycle and supporting the Grocery Director in this. Ensuring opportunities are driven through the cycle in Channel Meetings and DMR. Leadership, line management, and engagement of the team to effectively deliver the strategy, utilizing key business enablers e.g. HPC and performance management frameworks. Build the necessary capability and succession planning within the team, ensuring a development culture through the PDP and development plan process. Contribute actively to the Sales Leadership Team delivering the vision, plan, priorities, and capability for the Sales team. What can you expect from Mars?
