Job Description
The Global Analytics group at Chubb is seeking a Business Data Product Owner to join our fast-paced, high energy Smart Data team. This individual will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and managing data solutions to enhance decision-making and improve user experiences. The Product Owner will play a pivotal role in driving innovation and adoption across commercial lines of business in North America and international regions.
Responsibilities : Lead the product vision and strategy for business data-driven products, aligning with overall company objectives and industry trends. Define the product roadmap and outline key features, benefits, and timelines Manage the product lifecycle, from ideation to launch and ongoing enhancements. Increase utilization across business teams and interconnectedness with other Chubb data assets Collaborate with stakeholders and manage agile teams in a global setting with data analysts, engineers, & scientists to identify and create valuable insights with business entity data. Translate complex findings into actionable recommendations Work closely with development teams and implementation partners to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality data products and APIs Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the organization, including executives and functions such as distribution, underwriting, actuarial, claims, and risk management. Communicate effectively to ensure alignment and support for product initiatives. Prioritize features and functionalities based on value and customer needs. Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform product improvements Explore new external data and analytics to help augment existing applications as well as for new domains. Play a lead role in managing vendor product relationships and coordinate with procurement teams and finance partners to facilitate data licensing Ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility within the cloud environment Expand the Chubb data catalog and knowledge base, increasing visibility of data insights across the organization Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Business Analytics, Engineering or a related field. Master's degree preferred 10+ years experience in the insurance industry, with a strong understanding of property & casualty insurance concepts, including underwriting and claims processes Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques (e.g., SQL, data visualization). Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence applications in insurance preferred Knowledge of APIs, cloud-based data platforms and technologies Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills. Ability to translate analyses and results to business meaning Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, agile environment Ability to travel 25%
