Job Description

The Vice President (VP), Enterprise Strategy reports to the Chief Strategy & Corporate Development Officer and is responsible for the design and development of Agilent's enterprise strategy. The VP of Enterprise Strategy will work with Agilent's CEO and CEO Staff in developing and aligning on all major enterprise strategy decisions for the corporation. They will be the thought leader and subject matter expert on strategy development to support Agilent's continued leadership in the biopharma, applied, and diagnostics markets, and deliver top tier shareholder returns. The VP of Enterprise Strategy will build a world class enterprise strategy team of experienced strategists, which will support the VP in key areas, including: The development of Agilent's long-term strategy, and ensuring that Agilent's enterprise strategy is developed in a customer centric way, which leads to an exhaustive view of Agilent's market opportunities Completing well-structured strategy deep dives that provide clarity on strategic choices backed by extensive data, synthesized to support clear recommendations to senior leaders Driving alignment with Agilent's most senior executives, including Agilent's CEO, on complex strategic tradeoff decisions, leading to needle moving organic or inorganic investments in key focus areas Overseeing the strategic planning processes and managing Agilent's annual strategy calendar, including strategy engagement with Agilent's Board of Directors Supporting Agilent's major Groups in answering their most important strategic questions through the management of key strategic studies Qualifications

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

15+ years' experience developing enterprise and/or business strategies, engaging with executive-level stakeholders within the life sciences tools, diagnostic or biopharma industries Strategy development experiences at a leading management consulting firm is preferred Experience in developing customer centric strategy and strategic recommendations that address customer needs and take advantage of long-term market trends Demonstrated ability to recruit, lead, and develop a world-class team. Ability to build and cultivate a team of strategic thought partners to interface with and support key leaders and functions across the organization Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with executives and garner high levels of credibility A Bachelor's degree is required; an M.B.A. is preferred CRITICAL LEADERSHIP CAPABILITIES

Additional Details

The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $276,000.00 - $431,250.00/yr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
