We are seeking highly skilled

Database Platform Engineers

with Oracle and/or MS SQL automation experience for database deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance; with a passion for automation to join our client's talented IT team and Center of Excellent (COE). Location: Buffalo NY and/or Wilmington DE.

This role offers

a hybrid work schedule; offering the flexibility to work from home two days a week, while providing the opportunity for in-person collaboration. This role could potentially be considered for remote opportunity.

The Technology Infrastructure Engineering and Operations Team's (TIEOT) engineers support all the foundational technology used across the bank. Supporting two Data Centers, 15,000 Distributed platforms, 24 mainframe regions, a secure and reliable network connecting all the technology across the bank footprint and process approximately 635,000 automated jobs per month. The TIEOT staff deliver innovative, and compelling technology solutions, in partnership with our line of business CIOs, to enhance the internal customer experience that enables our business partners to deliver.

Overview: In this position you will play a crucial role in modernizing our client's Database platform offerings and spearheading transformation efforts in collaboration with their App Dev partners. A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate experience-based knowledge in either

Oracle and/or MS SQL Database Administration

and infrastructure

automation

tooling

and be a good communicator with strong interpersonal skills.

Primary Responsibilities

: Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for automation and efficiency improvement across the organization. Design, implement, and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and scalability. Develop and implement automation solutions for database deployment, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with internal tech teams to identify opportunities to mature the bank's database ecosystem. Participate in the bank's DB COE as an Oracle DB and provide subject matter expertise to the bank's database community. Perform regular database performance tuning and optimization to meet business requirements and SLAs. Troubleshoot database-related issues and implement solutions in a timely manner. Establish and enforce database policies and procedures. Mentor junior team members and provide guidance on best practices for database administration and automation.

Education/Experience

:

AS/BS degree and 6 or more years' RDBMS experience. (Note: in lieu of a degree, 8 or more years' RDBMS experience) MS SQL

and/or

Oracle

relational

database

experience Hands-on database

automation

tools and scripting experience (e.g., Python, PowerShell) Agile

methodology experience. Scaled Agile (SAFe) preferred but not required Experience with

cloud database

platforms preferred, but not required
