JOB SUMMARY

The Managing Vice President, Food & Beverage - Global Operations leads the team responsible for driving Food & Beverage (F&B) innovation and strategy across all brands and segments for Marriott International. This role develops programs and partnerships to fulfill F&B opportunities, leveraging market research and customer insights to create cutting-edge F&B experiences and establish scalable and localized F&B programs. The Managing Vice President gathers and assesses stakeholder feedback and forward-thinking research and collaborates with brand liaisons, continents, and other disciplines to ensure alignment of F&B programs with customer needs and the competitive landscape. As the company's premier subject matter expert on multi-brand F&B, this position develops and maintains strategic relationships with Food & Beverage industry leaders, external boards and suppliers and champions cross-continent discipline connectivity through Global Leadership Teams for Culinary and Meetings & Events and represents Global F&B at key internal and external venues. In addition, the Managing Vice President systematically reviews stakeholder satisfaction, identifying performance gaps to drive continuous improvement. CANDIDATE PROFILE

Education and Experience

Required

4-year bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Hotel and Restaurant Management, Culinary Science, or related major OR comparable experience from which the same knowledge could be gained. 10 years of business management leadership experience in the Food & Beverage discipline, demonstrating progressive career growth and pattern of exceptional performance. Track record of creating profitable, operational, and cutting-edge Food & Beverage solutions. Preferred

Experience guiding insight synthesis and identifying emerging opportunities based on a combination of industry analysis, company analysis, market analysis, stakeholder and subject matter expert input, and trend evaluation. Experience representing Global F&B disciplines across brands and segments. CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

Leads the Global F&B (Restaurant, Bar, Culinary, and Meetings Events) discipline for Marriott International to drive F&B innovation and transformational strategy across all brands and segments. Develops programs and partnerships that support the fulfillment of F&B opportunities across chain scales, brands, continents, and hotels; oversees F&B third-party partnership strategy and creates a framework to support F&B elevation through partners when appropriate. Develops and maintains strategic professional relationships with Food & Beverage industry leaders, external boards, organizations, and suppliers to help achieve business strategies; represents Marriott Global F&B at key internal and external forums and venues. Conducts forward-thinking research to understand discipline trends and competition, surfacing big ideas for business development; leverages market research, trends, customer insights, and subject matter expertise to create cutting-edge F&B programs and experiences, including building and testing (through POCs and F&B Studio) resources to support the continents' F&B efforts. Accountable for establishing F&B programs that meet the needs of each brand and/or Continent in three areas: target consumer preferences, operating model, and the brand economic model. Develops and leads a high-performing team of specialized discipline leaders who are focused on cultivation of best-in-class products, tools, and resources in their discipline expertise areas. Ensures the appropriate level of scalability and localization for Global F&B programs. Gathers and assesses internal and external stakeholder feedback across continents (owners, continent leadership, hotels), and measures against performance metrics to drive F&B innovation and enhance the customer experience. Partners with Brand liaisons, Continents, and other disciplines in the organization to define and understand customer needs and the competitive landscape to ensure alignment on necessary skills and expertise. Identifies performance gaps or opportunities and partners with stakeholders to create strategies. Creates buzz and excitement for Global F&B through restaurant and bar experiences in partnership with Continents that drive Public Relations, content, ADR growth and profit. Ensures focus on content creation, recognition, and innovation to create distinction respective to each brand. Collaborates with hotel and regional leadership, owners, and franchisees on resources, tools, standards, and programs across R B, Culinary and M E. Leads collaborative product and service development, ensuring design integrity and continuous improvement; Drives operational excellence and the highest standards of restaurant, culinary, meetings and events, service, programming, and bar operations. Works with brand, continent and owner and franchise services to manage off-strategy and brand detractor outlets. Acts as the company's subject matter expert regarding multi-brand food & beverage to all constituencies (external as well as internal). Leverages processes to systematically review the satisfaction of relevant stakeholders (customers, owners, franchisees, associates, and vendors) with the F&B discipline and takes action to correct inadequacies and improve satisfaction and supports cross-discipline program design and sustainment. Champions cross-continent discipline connectivity through Global Leadership Teams for Culinary and Meetings Events. Travel required up to 30% of the time. The salary range for this position is $258,900 - $365,000 annually.
