Job Summary Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Cloud Solution Application Architect with experience developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. You will be part of a digital software team that works on high-demand applications. Our engineers have a passion for high-quality, reliability, and maintainable code. You will work side by side with product managers, designers, and clients, making decisions together to quickly deliver valuable working software to clients and their users. Our engineers are agile and retrospective, and not afraid to identify what we’re doing wrong, so we can fix it, and what we’re doing right, so we can improve on it. Location: Portland, OR – Remote work Responsibilities Development & Platform Administration Integration Design & Development: Lead the design, development, testing, and support of integration components in our Azure landscape, applying technologies such as Azure Service Bus, Azure Web App, and Azure Function to allow reliable ingestion of consumer data and provide enterprise-wide awareness to consumer profile events. Continuity and Enhancement: Work with other squads to understand technical requirements and resolve dependency conflicts in support of corporate initiatives. Consumer Data Platform Administration: Cultivate an in-depth understanding of our Amperity CDP solution in relation to support of consumer unification and marketing analytics. Observability: Implement robust monitoring for component health, availability, and performance. Partner with other squads to diagnose issues and proactively improve system reliability. Technical Leadership Best Practice Definition: Determine and evangelize standards and practices to enhance integrity, stability, and performance at all steps in the software development lifecycle. Cross-Team Collaboration: Align with architects, product managers, and agile leads on design patterns and standards. Work with peer squads to ensure technical consistency and integration across our ecosystem. Backlog & Roadmap Management: Supply to the squad’s backlog, prioritizing technical debt, performance enhancements, and modernization initiatives. Help refine and break down epics into achievable work. Team Development & Mentorship Mentorship: Guide and upskill junior and senior engineers on the squad, sharing standard methodologies and fostering skill development. A strong communicator who excels in remote and in-person collaboration, conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical collaborators. A skilled teacher, able to effectively share knowledge and elevate technical skills within the team. Qualifications 8+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on integration and support of SaaS platforms. Confirmed experience as a technical lead or senior engineer for teams integrating with third-party vendor platforms. Strong history of guiding and mentoring junior engineers and influencing technical direction. Experience supporting Consumer Data Platforms for businesses with large customer bases. Expertise working with consumer-related concepts including activation, definition, unification, event tracking, and analytics. Hands-on experience with Azure as a platform for application deployment. Experience implementing and scaling web services and functions in Azure. Strong grasp of asynchronous service-bus messaging paradigms in Azure. Skilled in integrating CI/CD pipelines for cloud resource delivery projects to automate testing, building, and deployment. Familiarity with Azure cloud for deploying backend applications, particularly serverless functions and service-bus configurations. Experience setting up monitoring and observability tools for backend applications to ensure uptime and performance. Practical experience configuring and supporting Amperity CDP. Familiarity with features, strengths and weaknesses of the platform. Salary and Other Compensation: Applications will be accepted until 12 January 2025. The annual salary for this position is between $102,600 – $162,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans. Benefits:
