Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist with the overall administration and daily operation of on campus residence halls. Expected to reside on campus throughout employment with Summer Programs. Manage a team of housing & student life professionals to ensure student safety, engagement and building oversight. Collaborate on any issues surrounding the housing assignment process for all summer programs. Assist with Summer Programs check-ins and move-outs. Serve as an escalation contact for students and parents with housing concerns. Assist the Director and Associate Director of Summer Programs Student Life in documenting all major processes and reports. Follow up on open work orders and the status of ongoing facilities concerns. Provide orientation, training, supervision and regular evaluation of assigned building staff. Conduct weekly meetings with summer residential staff to develop and review goals/outcomes achieved, discuss issues, recognize contributions, provide and solicit feedback. Support Resident Assistants in the design, execution and assessment of student programming activities. Work with Associate Director of Summer Programs Student Life to oversee staff budget for programming, events, and unexpected costs. Crisis Intervention Serve on the Senior-On-Call rotation, providing 24/7 coverage during each shift. While on call, be accessible to respond at all times. Must be within 10-minutes of campus while serving On Call. Follow protocol when responding to incidents. Provide appropriate follow up and documentation to incidents. Serve as the college representative during non-business hours. Respond to incidents that involve any Berklee student and/or guests. Student Conduct Hear cases for the Summer Programs student population. Review and delegate cases in the Maxient system. Participate in regular meetings to discuss cases. Adjudicate students in violation of any policies. Maintain timely and accurate judicial records. MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Currently enrolled in a Higher Education/Student Affairs graduate program or comparable experience. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience in housing/residence life preferred. SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED: Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills essential. Must be detail-oriented and able to effectively manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Must have a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be proficient with computer applications, such as MS Word, Excel, and Google Suite. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervises the Summer Resident Assistant staff throughout the summer. TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Position begins June 2, 2025 and ends on August 15, 2024. (There is some flexibility for those who may need an end-date of August 8th.) Employees must be available for key weekends, specifically Aspire: Five-Week Summer Performance’s check-in (July 5th & 6th).
