The Role: Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate

Privacy & Cybersecurity Associate
to join one of our distinguished clients in the technology and life sciences field. This is your opportunity to lead, innovate, and leave your mark. In this role, you'll: Shape the Future:
Advise clients on compliance with federal and state health care privacy laws (e.g., HIPAA, CMIA, Washington My Health My Data Act), consumer privacy laws, and comprehensive state privacy laws (e.g., CCPA), as well as international frameworks like the EU's GDPR. Collaborate with the Best:
Work alongside innovators in digital health care, AI, social media, gaming, cybersecurity, cryptocurrency, and other cutting-edge sectors. Drive Change:
Draft and update privacy policies, negotiate data-related contracts (BAAs, DPAs, DUAs), respond to privacy incidents, and counsel clients on product development. Key Skills We're looking for candidates with expertise in: Technical Proficiency:
Solid understanding of health information privacy, consumer privacy, federal and state privacy laws, and international regimes like GDPR. Analytical Abilities:
Proven experience interpreting complex regulatory environments and applying them to innovative tech and life sciences products. Leadership:
Ability to guide clients through privacy compliance assessments, data breach responses, and regulatory investigations. Communication:
Superior oral, written, and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with clients and colleagues. Industry Knowledge:
Exposure to digital health care, AI, or other emerging technologies is highly desirable; adtech experience is a plus. What We're Looking For Your success starts with your skills and experience. Here's what you'll need to thrive in this role: Experience:
2-4 years of experience in health care privacy and broader privacy law counseling (HIPAA, CMIA, CCPA, COPPA, GLBA, etc.). Skills:
Expertise in drafting privacy policies, negotiating privacy-related contracts, providing product counseling, and handling incident response. Education:
A J.D. from an accredited law school with superior academic credentials. Mindset:
A collaborative, forward-thinking approach to solving complex privacy challenges. Bar Admission:
