Construction Defect Associate Attorney

A law firm in Costa Mesa, CA, seeks a capable Construction Defect Associate Attorney with 1-6 years of experience. The chosen candidate will be integral in managing construction defect cases and providing legal assistance to clients in this specialized field. Duties: Conduct thorough legal research and analysis pertinent to construction defect cases. Assist in drafting various legal documents, including complaints, motions, discovery requests/responses, and settlement agreements. Participate actively in case strategy meetings and client consultations. Represent clients during mediation sessions, settlement negotiations, and court proceedings. Work closely with senior attorneys and partners on case management and strategic planning. Review and analyze construction contracts, building codes, and related documentation. Conduct site inspections and investigations related to construction defect claims. Maintain effective communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders involved in litigation. Requirements: Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Active membership in the State Bar of California. 1-6 years of relevant experience in legal practice, preferably focusing on construction defect litigation. Strong legal research and writing skills.
