Location

Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144. Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.

Department Information

The Department of Engineering Technology consists of over 400 students and 10 full-time faculty members in two ABET-accredited undergraduate 4-year degree programs (Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering Technology and Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology). The faculty are committed to student success and to delivering a nationally recognized program. Scholarship in the department spans both industry- and government-funded research projects focused on practical application of engineering principles. The faculty have expertise in areas that include manufacturing, CNC machining and fabrication, additive manufacturing, engineering materials, nondestructive testing, mechanism design, product development, prototyping, mechanical design of automated manufacturing systems, biomedical applications, engineering design graphics, as well as teaching and learning in engineering education. Job Summary

Kennesaw State University is now accepting applications for a pool of open rank, part-time faculty positions in Electrical Engineering Technology for the academic year 2024-2025. These positions are on an as needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with experience. This position is for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities

  • Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) courses. The majority of EET courses are project-based, application focused providing our students with real life experiences in the classroom.
  • Responsibilities will include teaching one or more courses and/or laboratories in circuits, electronics, electric power and machines, digital/embedded systems, signals and systems, controls, test engineering, data communications or telecommunications networking.
Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications
  • A minimum of a Master's degree, or the foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology, or a closely related field is required for undergraduate programs.
OR
  • An earned doctorate, or its foreign equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering, Electrical or Computer Engineering Technology, or a closely related field is required for teaching at the graduate level.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A PE license, College level teaching experience, and experience with online teaching platforms are preferred.
  • Prior college level teaching, related work experience and online teaching experience are pluses.

Background Check
