We have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our Pentair Pool In-Floor sales team, covering the North Texas territory. You will own your territory and sell the Pentair Pool In-Floor Cleaning & Circulation equipment. This is a technical field sales role where you will sell through authorized distributors, professional dealers, and pool installers/servicers, effectively utilizing marketing programs and promotional material, leveraging field resources, and providing technical product training and in-field support.
** This posting is for 1 position. Ideal candidates will be in Dallas-Fort Worth, TX with the ability to travel to Austin, Houston, and/or San Antonio, TX up to 40% of the time. ** #LI-remote
You will:
- Manage and grow assigned Pentair businesses by identifying and nurturing new and existing key relationships with channel partners, including pool distributors, builders, dealers, as well as service and retail customers.
- Build relationships with key channel partners and influence sales of Pentair In-Floor products and services by holding regular technical presentations, training seminars, and/or providing on-site support.
- Develop and utilize a strong technical understanding of our products across the entire professional channel / portfolio to address customer needs and promote brand awareness and preference among our distributor partners.
- Analyze customer specifications to determine proper product applications and/or accessories, provide expertise and recommend solutions to application and performance problems related to products in the field.
Key Qualifications:
- Have earned a high school diploma or GED.
- Have 3-5 years of experience in the pool and spa industry, including strong technical understanding of Pool & Spa equipment to manage a territory, identify solutions, and discuss technical applications and specifications.
- Strong communication skills, customer first mentality, and ability to train others, including end-users, on Pentair Pool & Spa equipment.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, meet deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- High energy, self-starter, and goal oriented. Eager to meet and exceed goals and targets.
Travel:
- Up to 40% overnight travel to dealers, distributors, customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings in the territory.
Compensation:
For this full-time position working at this location, the anticipated total target compensation (TTC) range will be from $79500 - $147600 / year. At Pentair, it is not typical for an individual to be hired near the bottom or top of the pay range. Pentair considers various factors in determining actual compensation for this position at the expected location. Actual compensation will be commensurate with demonstrable level of experience and training, pertinent education including licensure and certifications, work location, and other relevant business or organizational needs. This position may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as sales incentives.
