We have an opportunity for a Territory Sales Manager to join our Ag Spray (Hypro) sales team, managing the Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin territory. Hypro is a well-established and highly recognized brand in the agricultural and irrigation markets, which includes specialty pumps, nozzles, and nozzle bodies used on large agricultural sprayers for fertilization of crops. You will own your territory and promote Pentair's products, sold through authorized distributors, to create brand preference and expand current relationships.

*** This is a territory sales position and will require up to 50% overnight travel to customer sites in Iowa, Nebraska, and Wisconsin. Ideal candidates will be located anywhere in the territory. *** #LI-Remote

You will:

  • Manage and grow assigned Pentair businesses by identifying and nurturing new and existing key relationships with authorized distributor partners.
  • Execute distribution sales strategies that increase top line revenue, augment Pentair solutions specification, and improve return on sales.
  • Conduct regular technical presentations, training seminars, and provide on-site support to our authorized distributor partners.
  • Develop and utilize a technical understanding of our products across the entire professional channel / portfolio to address customer needs and promote brand awareness and preference among our distributor partners.
  • Collaborate with dealer, distributor, and end user organizations on a regular basis to keep them trained and informed about products, product lines, programs, and production capabilities.

Key Qualifications:

  • Have earned a bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) preferred.
  • Have 3-5 years of experience in a professional outside sales role, including managing a territory and selling mechanical / engineered products. Experience in agronomy, agriculture, or irrigation markets a plus.
  • Experience working with indirect sales environments, especially with channel partners and/or distribution networks preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities, organize, plan, meet difficult deadlines and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, negotiation, follow-up, and documentation skills.
  • High energy, self-starter, and goal oriented. Eager to meet and exceed goals and targets.

Travel:

  • Up to 50% overnight travel to visit dealers, distributors, customers, events, tradeshows, and other business-related meetings.
