Lead Executive Assistant to the Founder, Managing Partner

Pantera Capital is the first institutional investment firm focused exclusively on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem. Pantera launched the first cryptocurrency fund in the United States when bitcoin was at $65 /BTC in 2013. The firm subsequently launched the first exclusively-blockchain venture fund. In 2017, Pantera was the first firm to offer an early-stage token fund. Pantera manages $5.6bn across three strategies – passive, hedge, and venture – exclusively focused on bitcoin, other digital currencies, and companies in the blockchain tech ecosystem.
We are seeking a Lead Executive Assistant to provide administrative support to the Managing Partner and manage “the office of the Managing Partner” – five other staff members also supporting him. The position is full-time and could be based in our New York, San Juan, or San Francisco offices. This role requires presence in the office at least four days per week and every day that Managing Partner is in that office.
The Managing Partner splits his time between Pantera's office roughly:
San Juan 60%
New York City 20%
San Francisco 10%
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university (almost totally) required
5+ years’ experience supporting C-level executives preferred
Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with impeccable attention to detail
Outstanding verbal and written communication, with ability to convey information clearly and professionally
Outstanding interpersonal skills, emotionally mature, and able to build relationships
Proactive approach to problem-solving with strong decision-making capability
Proven ability to handle confidential information with utmost discretion
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Apple hardware
Meticulous, professional, confident, sophisticated, and gracious
Does not require 24x7 availability – much more 9-5
Responsibilities:
Managing five other Executive and Personal Assistants and Investor Relations staff who essentially work for the Managing Partner
Overall calendar ownership
Act as a gracious gatekeeper to ensure the Managing Partner’s time is spent on his most impactful issues
Prepare for Executive Committee and Investment Committee
Coordinate and build agenda for regular meetings with his reports
Manage the use of Microsoft Outlook Tasks to get things Track plans and outcomes to completion.
Manage Microsoft Outlook Support key communication for Managing Partner.
Manage Microsoft Outlook Contacts and lists like Christmas cards
Manage junior EAs booking professional travel (a separate PA does all personal travel)
Responsible for the architecture of physical and electronic file organization
Ensure that the Investor Relations staff are doing logistics for conferences & TV interviews
Collaborate effectively and form strong partnerships with the administrative team
Coordinates technology for Managing Partner's homes and offices, as well as on-the-road computer needs
Compensation:
Extremely competitive, based on experience: $200,000 - $400,000
