Position Summary
The Dialysis Technician I is responsible for the maintenance and operation of the dialysis machine and the water treatment systems associated with dialysis treatment. The position is also responsible for water biological and chemical testing related to dialysis with appropriate documentation. The position is also responsible on a secondary basis for the support and maintenance of the Medical Center's biomedical equipment including preventive maintenance, repair, testing, troubleshooting and documentation as appropriate.
Responsibilities
1. Performs monitoring and testing of water treatment system.
a. Collect water and dialysate samples.
b. Collect AAMI analysis samples.
c. Flush RO systems.
2. Maintenance and operation of dialysis machine.
a. Disinfect machines
b. Change filters.
3. Performs repairs and testing.
a. Troubleshooting
4. Maintain documentation.
a. Culture and LAL log.
b. Repair log.
5. Works on special Biomedical projects.
Minimum Requirements
Current American Heart Association CPR is required.
High School plus 1 to 2 years of formal training or education- or higher. Specify: clinical or patient care technician required.
1 to 3 years experience in dialysis technology and application is required.

Location: ECU Health Medical Center - Dialysis
Shift: Days (Shift will either begin early in the morning or will start at 12PM and work until 8:30PM).
Hours: Full-Time (40hrs/week)
Weekends: No
On-Call: No
