Senior Tax Manager or Director of Tax Location : Sherman Oaks, CA (Hybrid 2-3 days a week onsite) Pay:

Client specializes in delivering customized solutions that meet the unique financial needs of both individual and corporate clients. Job Summary
: Client is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Manager or Director of Tax to join their ever-growing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, overseeing the preparation and review of complex tax returns, and providing strategic tax planning advice. This role requires a strong understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. Responsibilities : Lead and manage multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services to clients. Prepare and review federal and state income taxes for individuals, businesses, benefit funds, real estate, and exempt organizations. Build new and existing client relationships and demonstrate knowledge of client business. Train, supervise, and evaluate staff and seniors and assist in the professional development of the team. Maintain active communication with clients to manage expectations, ensure satisfaction, and lead change efforts effectively. Consult on tax planning, research complex tax issues, and provide proactive advice to minimize tax liability. Ensure compliance with all applicable authorities, while optimizing financial opportunities present in existing tax laws. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field. Master’s in taxation is highly preferred. CPA certification is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience within tax (2 years at the Manager level and 2 years from public accounting) Exceptional leadership, organizational, and verbal/written communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Proficiency in tax software and technology. Benefits : Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.
