The Conversational Search Shopping team is looking for an innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Business Intel Engineer. The candidate must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent technical skills, and should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once.

Key Job Responsibilities

The ideal candidate must be able to identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages. The candidate must be able to accurately prioritize projects, make sound judgments, work to improve the customer experience, and get the right things done.

This job requires you to constantly hit the ground running and have the ability to learn quickly. Primary responsibilities include defining the problem and building analytical frameworks to help streamline operations, identifying gaps in the existing process by analyzing data, and liaising with relevant teams to address these gaps. Additionally, the role involves analyzing data and metrics and sharing updates with internal teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  1. 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  2. Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  3. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
  4. Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab
  5. Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift
  2. Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
