The Conversational Search Shopping team is looking for an innovative, hands-on, and customer-obsessed Business Intel Engineer. The candidate must be detail-oriented, have superior verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, excellent technical skills, and should be able to juggle multiple tasks at once.


Key Job Responsibilities:

  1. Identify problems before they happen and implement solutions that detect and prevent outages.
  2. Accurately prioritize projects and make sound judgments to improve the customer experience.
  3. Define problems and build analytical frameworks to help operations streamline processes.
  4. Identify gaps in existing processes by analyzing data and liaising with relevant teams to address them.
  5. Analyze data and metrics and share updates with internal teams.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
  2. Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
  3. Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
  4. Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
  5. Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.
  6. Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
  7. Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
